Party at Rock Canyon Park

Liver Walk is now Going to be a Liver Party
Carie posted this change for the event we will have on May 19th. More details will come as we figure everything out:
Hey everyone,
Due to a lot of road blocks, prayers, and lack of funding, I've decided to 'downsize' this walk/5k to an upgraded PARTY! The legal side of things for a walk/5k are too big and long and hairy for me to hash out between now and May 19th.
So....
...details are forthcoming, for a BBQ on May 19th with games, sports, and a lot of space to enjoy ourselves!!!
Everyone is encouraged to bring a couple dollars to donate to the cause that night if possible. If not, just come have fun!!
You are still welcome (encouraged even!) to sign up for the Liver Life "Walk" on the website to show your support. And, you're still encouraged to donate and/or fund raise for the cause!
If you have any questions about it, let me know. We'll have a lot of fun and enjoy ourselves more than walking around the streets of Provo. :) See you all May 19th!

I have volunteered with the American Liver Foundation and am organizing a 5k walk/run in Utah Valley on Thursday, May 19, 2011. I am trying to raise funds for this nonprofit organization who is dedicated to liver health and disease prevention. Please join me on team Liver Life Walk - Provo Style. Please, invite friends, family, your pet dog, anyone to come support us in fighting liver disease! Liver disease is often unknown or misunderstood. Here are some compelling statistics:
The American Liver Foundation (ALF) is dedicated to a future where there are effective treatments, cures, and no one dies waiting for a liver transplant. The ALF mission is to facilitate, advocate and promote education, support and research for the prevention, treatment and cure of liver disease. You can do of the following to help get the Provo Liver Life Walk going:
You can register at www.liverfoundation.org/walk and follow the prompts to register for the Denver walk on Liver Life Walk - Provo Style. (Because this is our first year in Utah, we have to sign up as a part of the Liver Life Walk in Denver. Regardless, the walk will be in the Provo/Orem area. They will send contact information of those signing up from Utah to me). When you register, you will receive valuable fundraising tools and information from the American Liver Foundation, in addition to your own personal fundraising website.
